2002 ELCA Principal
of the Year Now Being Sought
Each of the past two
years, the principal that has been named ELCA Principal of the
Year has also received recognition as a National Distinguished
Principal. The Evangelical Lutheran Church In America Department
For Schools is looking for that exceptional elementary or middle
school principal to represent the ELCA in the Private school’s
component of the National Distinguished Principal Award Program
sponsored by the U. S. Department For Education and the National
Association of Elementary School Principals.
If you know a
principal that is
-
an active
principal of a school in which a commitment to excellence is
evident,
-
has been a
principal for at least five years,
-
planning to
remain in their current position during the 2001 - 2002
school year,
-
able to furnish
in writing evidence of leadership to teachers, students, the
school community, and the profession at large,
