The Pastor and the Lutheran
School
Wheat Ridge Ministries is happy to
share information about a newly revised resource developed as part
of the Wheat Ridge Healthy Teams Project. The Pastor and the
Lutheran School was written by Dr. Mel Kieschnick. It was
originally published in 1987 by the school office of the American
Lutheran Education Association. Over the years it has been a very
popular tool for helping pastors, principals, and teachers explore
the important role of the pastor as a member of the school
ministry team.
Wheat Ridge has received permission
to re-publish this valuable resource. It has been re-edited and
updated by Dr. Kieschnick. We are happy to provide it as a free
internet-based resource. You can download it in PDF format from
the Wheat Ridge <http://www.wheatridge.org>
Ministries web site by going to the <http://www.wheatridge.org/pasprin/home.htm>
Healthy Teams Project page or directly to The Pastor and the
Lutheran School <http://www.Wheatridge.org/pasprin/melform.htm>
.
The Pastor and the Lutheran School
is designed to facilitate interaction and discussion among school
ministry teams. In addition to being a helpful resource for
individual reading, it is ideal for use in various group settings
of pastors, administrators, teachers, or board members. Each
chapter includes exercises and discussion starters.
We pray that this new resource will
be a blessing to your ministry! If you are serving as a District,
Synod, or Church-wide executive, we appreciate your sharing the
availability of this resource with the pastors and school leaders
for whom you provide support.
