   We are very excited about a brand new plan that is just becoming available!  After two years of work, we are happy to announce that we are entering into a Benefits Solutions Program with the Aetna Life Insurance Company.   What is this all about?

     Through this new “Affinity” plan for our professional organization, Aetna is going to provide Medical, Dental, Life & Disability insurance and it is beginning in 16 states and DC.  To start, this is available in the following: AZ, CA, CT, DC, FL, GA, IL, IN, MD, ME, NY, NJ, OH, OK, PA, TX, and VA.  All other states (except New Mexico) are eligible for Dental, Life & Disability.  The great thing is that we have access not only to all of the traditional medical plans, but also to a new program with a high deductible PPO that is truly more affordable!  For example, in reviewing our initial quotes, where the per person premium for a group in the Chicago area is $321 per person for a traditional medical plan, the new High Deductible rate is $211.  There are many options and each school can chose what will work for them.  We will help you customize your plan for your needs. 

     Also hot of the presses: we are now about to provide what we have been calling “Band aid” coverage: A Mini-Medical plan.  It is a limited Medical Insurance Plan.  The great thing about this plan is that it is even less expensive (starting at $111 per month for an individual - any age!) and reimburses you for some doctors’ visits, hospital confinement, wellness rider (reimbursement for routine physicals), surgical benefits, private duty nurse, accidental death and dismemberment and MORE.  This is available to anyone, with no participation requirements of any kind.  For example, if your school has NO funds to pay for full medical benefits and your employees are unable to obtain their own individual policy due to pre-existing medical conditions; this might be a “Life Saver”.  This will be accessed by a toll free phone call – that is all.
