Thrivent Financial is ready to help make a
difference in the life of Lutheran schools . . .
GivingPlus™ Program:
Unlike any other organization, Thrivent Financial for Lutherans
offers a benefit that enhances the charitable giving of its
members. Thrivent Financial contributes $1 for every $2 Thrivent
Financial members donate through this program (certain minimum and
maximum limits apply). There is also a $25 bonus to those gifts
from members who volunteer 25 hours or more for your school.
To be eligible, the Lutheran
school must:
Be incorporated as a nonprofit
organization that is exempt from federal income tax under section
501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
Be recognized by a Lutheran
church body.
Have at least one full-time (30+
hours per week) director/teacher gainfully and solely employed by
the school. (This can be a shared position for early childhood
centers )
You can get all the details of
this program including enrollment forms and member gift forms from
the Thrivent Financial web site, go to http://www.thrivent.com/fraternal/chuchcommunity/givingplus.html.
Simply Giving ®: This
program can be used by Lutheran elementary schools, high schools
and colleges as a way to offer students and their parents a no-fee
method of making automatic tuition payments. The program provides
parents with a reliable, convenient way to make tuition payments
on a regular basis. Tuition payments are made to the school
through preauthorized withdrawals from the participant's bank
account. The funds are then deposited into the schools bank
account on the same day. Go to http://www.thrivent.com/fraternal/churchcommunity/simplygiving.html
to get all the details.
Chapter Care Programs:
Thrivent Financial for Lutherans' chapter structure gives
members a vehicle to demonstrate their care and concern for
others. Two chapter care programs are the main resources members
can use to show their care and concern for congregations or its
related Lutheran schools.
Care in Congregations™:
Thrivent Financial for Lutherans provides
funding for Thrivent Financial members to conduct fund-raising
activities (including appeals/collections) and/or hands-on service
activities to benefit a congregation or its related Lutheran
schools. Funding comes directly from Thrivent Financial to the
congregational service team's congregation.
Care Abounds in
Communities™: Thrivent Financial
for Lutherans provides funding for members participating in
community service teams (team must be comprised of at least six
Thrivent Financial members from different households who want to
participate). These teams are formed to conduct fund-raising
activities (including appeals/collections) and/or hands-on service
activities. Activities can benefit individuals, families, local
communities or organizations that are exempt from federal income
tax under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code,
excluding congregations. (This includes charitable,
educational and religious organizations, excluding
congregations.) Activity requests for funding are directed to the
chapter leadership board.
