Linking Hearts and Hands for Lutheran Schools and Centers

“I will give them one heart and one way . . . for their own good and the good of their children . . .” Jeremiah 32:39

The National Board and staff of ELEA are pleased once again to commend all ELCA schools and early childhood programs for their commitment to quality, Christ-centered education. We are inviting YOU to join with others who have a HEART for children through financial contributions that will allow ELEA to continue promoting and supporting programs such as yours.

What do pastors and other congregational leaders think about ELEA? The Reverend Craig Johnson from Christ Lutheran Church & Noah’s Ark Christian Preschool in Aurora, Oregon writes:

“I can’t express too deeply my appreciation for ELEA and the ministry to children that ELEA enables. I have served in two congregations that have started preschool ministries from scratch. Materials and support from ELEA led both congregations through the process, and ELEA staff provided guidance, wisdom, and encouragement along the way. The continuing education opportunities provided regionally by ELEA have mentored our preschool staff, empowered our preschool board, and helped this pastor to better understand the value of early childhood education as a ministry of the church. Thank you, ELEA, for encouraging those with a heart for children and for guiding the hands of those called to share the wonder of God’s world with our little ones.”

Individual support is important for ELEA just as it is for your school or center. Membership dues comprise one-half of the annual budget. We rely heavily on grants and donations to our Annual Fund Drive from individuals, and schools and centers, to fully realize all of our goals each year. This past year, ELEA has:

  • Developed an ELEA Member Benefits Program which offers health, dental, disability and pension opportunities;
  • Offered a Video Training Resource Library with over 80 video titles in a variety of staff development categories;
  • Begun the process of reinventing our Elementary Accreditation Self Study process which will bring us in compliance with national and state standards;
  • Assisted an increasing number of early childhood centers in the ELEA Early Childhood Program Certification process;
  • Provided personal assistance with new school starts, administrator concerns, pastoral and board questions.

Join HANDS with us in guiding the future of our Lutheran schools and centers and make a contribution today. Gifts may be made in any amount to:
